Tule Nation Tritons (TNT)

Tule Nation Triton (TNT) Swimming is represented by swimmers from the Tulare, Corcoran, Exeter, Hanford, Kingsburg, Lemoore, Lindsay, Porterville, Selma and Visalia areas within the Central Valley in California. Swimmers from our program have experienced success from the Summer League level, to high school and collegiate levels. TNT swimmers have become multiple High School Valley Champions, and have competed at meets such as NSCA Junior, US Open, US Juniors and Nationals as well as Olympic Trials. Our program has experienced our first Division I NCAA champion in Kohlton Norys during 2009 in the 100 backstroke event. Kohlton may well be the first swimmer from Central California to ever have become a national Division 1 NCAA champion, and he did so duirng his second year in college. In addition to developing multiple nationally ranked swimmers, we also are proud of the National Age Group Record set in 2008.

We anticipate continued representation at these levels. A primary focus in Tulare is to provide an opportunity for our athletes to pursue swimming at the college level. As of the 2008 school year TNT has contributed to swimmers receiving swimming scholarships to Auburn, Louisiana State (LSU), University of Kentucky, Fresno Pacific, and Fresno State. Additionally, coaches in Tulare have had swimmers recruited to colleges such as Harvard, Notre Dame and Cal Baptist. Over the yeas our swimmers have gained the attention of colleges including Auburn, USC, Cal Berkley and Stanford. These colleges have contacted our program at some time in the past, or have recently contacted our program, to actively inquire about our swimmers. We are very proud of the recognition that our athletes have earned through their hard work and level of commitment.

Our swimmers have received not only national recognition, but also local recognition. Many of our swimmers become finalist and champions at local summer league and high school championship meets as they represent their various summer league and high school organizations that we support. Our swimmers regularly rank among the Central California Swimming's top five, and also hold several CVRSL, high school and Central California Swimming records. Furthermore, our athletes have performed at such successful levels that multiple coaches of the TNT team have been nominated and have been recipients of the Age Group and Senior Coach of the Year awards multiple times over the years.
